I had noticed the seam of the keel to hull join was opening up and suspected that there might be some movement in the keel. Since the boat was already out of the water for the fiberglass repairs, i asked Waterline Works to drop and re-bed the keel. After dropping the keel they contacted me and expressed concern that the bottom of the keel stub might not adequately support the keel. The holes for the keel bolts went through the seam of th two hull halves and Waterline Works did not think that was strong enough. They added 5 layers of fiberglass to the bottom of the keel stub and reattached the keel.
